Wireless charging is one of the greatest inventions in recent years. Messy cables and having to hunt for the charger will become a thing of the past. And thanks to Corian® Design you can now have wireless charging in any of room of your home or office built into your Corian work surface.
Corian®, if you didn’t already know, is a material that we love at KSL. It’s an easy to clean, solid surface material that comes in a multitude of colours and patterns and can be custom cut and installed in kitchens, bathrooms, office desktops and anywhere in the home or office. Now you can add wireless charging capability to these nice looking work surfaces for the ultimate charging convenience.
So how does it work? Hidden from view, underneath the worksurface, is a transmitter that powers up smartphones and tablets, wirelessly. Energy is transferred safely from below the Corian® surface to a smart device – charging stops when the battery is full.
A special charging ring will enable most micro USB-enabled devices to charge on a special section of the countertop. Devices that already have wireless charging built in won’t need the ring add-on and can be placed directly on the countertop to charge.
